Lucero is located in the town of Santa Teresa, a tiny, quaint and hippy style popular beach village at the Pacific side of the Peninsula Nicoya. The striking sun kissed sand beach here is known to have some of the best surfing in the entire country and is perfect for surfers of all levels.
Lucero Surf Retreats offers surfing enthusiasts action packed adventure travel with all inclusive surf and surf/yoga packages to Santa Teresa in beautiful Costa Rica for single travelers, groups of friends, families and couples. Accommodation and Amenities
Villas – The property features four villas encircling a pool, creating a laid back and amiable atmosphere. Aesthetically designed with a blend of Asian and Caribbean worlds, these structures epitomize a blend of natural beauty with modern living. This accommodation option is offered when you book a surf package for about 3-4 people or if you prefer to stay in a villa as a couple. If you are booking the villa as a couple, make sure to mention this at the time of making reservations.
Every two-floor lodge features a queen size bed (upstairs), 2 bathrooms, 2 sofas in the living room with a fully appointed kitchen. There is a spacious private garden area with a hammock and porch. The main bathroom on the first floor is open air with natural stone fittings, encircled by tropical flowers. The fully equipped kitchen offers a stove, fridge, freezer, and coffee maker. There is a nice garden outside with table and chairs to enjoy meals in the open. Every lodge has orthopaedic mattresses, A/C, safe, and complementary Wi-Fi.
Rooms – The property has six sprawling private rooms that offer guests simplicity and relaxation with a private sitting area bordered by a tropical garden for lazy lounging. Aesthetically created with a fusion of Asian and Caribbean style architecture, this option is offered to those who book solo or double packages. The rooms offer more value for money as an alternative to the villas, while upholding the same and level of comfort. Every bedroom has an independent bathroom and a balcony where visitors can admire the adjoining tropical vegetation and pool vista. Every room has a king sized bed or 2 single beds all with orthopedic mattresses, A/C, a safe, and complementary Wi-Fi.

Surf Package – The Surf package includes two hour Surf lessons twice per day at the Santa Teresa beach. Lucero’s surf instructor will help guests enhance their surf skills in a single week. The package also includes several additional activities in the area including a day trip to Montezuma waterfall, a rejuvenating massage and much more. The surf package includes 6 nights private accommodations with AC, transfer from and to San jose or Liberia (2 pm), delicious daily Breakfast, tropical lunches, 2 hour surf-lessons with a certified surf-instructor twice every day, use of all gear (boards, rash guard, yogamats), bottled water during surf lessons, one surf trip to nearby beach in Hermosa, daytrip to Montezuma Waterfall, surf pictures on CD, one SUP lesson/ Zip line or horseback riding, friendly staff to help you with anything you may need, daily maid service and complementary Wi-fi at the hotel.
Surf Yoga Package – Guests love Lucero’s Surf/Yoga package because this one includes the best of both worlds- exercise and relaxation. Surfing and yoga is a heady combination their benefits complement each other. Visitor’s week will be packed with activities that allow them to explore the natural magnificence of Costa Rica, surf in the balmy ocean, experience a zen-like feeling with morning yoga, enjoy tropical breakfast and lunches, relaxing with a massage and much more.
Basic Package – This is for those who are just looking for accommodations instead of a full package. The price is per night for accommodations including breakfast and complementary use of surf gear. This Basic package includes discounts. Host service is not included.
Healing Package – In combination with the Healing Cuisine, Lucero offers a special Yoga package with an inclusion of living food cooking classes. Visitors can explore the magic of raw, living foods for radiant health mental clarity and longevity. You can learn how easy it can be to whip up delicious, nutritious, gourmet raw food dishes and add more energy to everyday food. All items are prepared fresh on site during the workshop. Participants will be called on to volunteer in the creation of the foods to reveal the true benefits of the raw food experience. The fresh and delicious cuisine will be enjoyed is later relished by everyone who contributed to the food making experience. The Yoga classes will be taught twice a day at the property’s outdoor yoga studio, where visitors can hear the jungle sounds all around them. The yoga in combination with the therapeutic foods and enjoyable activities is designed to cleanse the body, mind and soul in a single week.
